If you are a person who believes in the divine origin of life, you probably concur with the paraphrase that has become Albert Einstein’s well-known aphorism, “God does not play dice with the universe.” Al, (if I may be so familiar) believed there was a system of order, a series of relationships, to the framework of all there is.
If you are a believer in Christ, sit back, close your eyes, and imagine God creating. Then, apply to the product of your imagination the standard of Einstein. How well does your imagination fare?

As we are talking about creation, naturally we look to Genesis, and to Adam, to give us some insight into the order of creation. We recognize that there is relationship between Adam and Eve. Adam himself says:
This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.
So how did this relationship come about? The scriptures say:
So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; then God took one of Adam’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh.
There is a plethora of activity here, but there are just a couple of points that we will look at now. First, in speaking of a deep sleep the most common reading in, certainly among modern readers, is probably a supernatural form of anaesthesia. I think that we are better off reading in unawareness. Adam isn’t cognizant of what is occurring; he is asleep during the process.
The second idea I want to deal with is that Eve came out of Adam. Why didn’t God created Eve in the same manner as he created Adam? He wanted relationship between Adam and Eve, and this was the way that relationship comes about. If Eve had been made after the fashion of Adam, there would have been no relationship between the two. They would have looked the same, but as already as has been said, relationship is more than skin deep. Another example is a child. A child comes out of a parent; this is why there is relationship.
You can begin carrying this chain farther. If a lion and lioness have relationship, then the two were not created independently, but one must have come out of the other. You can then ask if there is a relationship among mammals. If there is, a dog and a cat were not created separately, but at some point there was a coming out of involved. How long is this chain and where does it lead? If we want to lay claim to some form of creation science, then this is a question that we must begin to answer.
This post isn’t as concerned with this first creation, though, as with the second, specifically the second Adam and his bride. It is in the creation of this relationship that kingdom is found. Many have made the mistake of calling the church the bride of Christ; however, the scriptures tell us that the church is the body of which Christ is the head. Christ is also called the second Adam. Remember that it is out of Adam’s body that the bride is taken. The body of the second Adam is the church, so we can therefore conclude that it is out of the church that the bride emerges. We also know that during the time of emergence the body is asleep, the body is unaware of what is occurring. That is the reason most in Christendom are missing what is occuring at this time.
I have said in a couple of postings that the time of the church is at an end. This doesn’t mean that the church becomes invalid. Rather it means that the forming of the church, the forming of the body of this second Adam out of the dust of the earth, is over. Now the work of God turns to the emergence of his bride – again, who comes out of this body, the church.
